Following the official advice issued by the UK Government and Public Health England on 4th January 2021 we wanted to update schools in the way we will be continuing to provide Occupational Therapy.

Occupational Therapists working in schools are classed as specialist education professionals and guidance states that provision for children receiving specialist support should carry on. This means that the services we supply to your school will continue to be provided in person.

We take the health and safety of our staff and those we work with very seriously. As healthcare professionals we will continue to follow specific Public Health England guidelines regarding social distancing and the use medical grade PPE which protects ourselves, as well as those we work with. This allows us to work safely with different individuals in the same way as healthcare staff do in hospitals. This enables us to move between bubbles and classes (changing PPE ) and designates us as exempt from needing to isolate as a close contact under Track and Trace. More information regarding this is outlined in our risk assessment policy found under Terms and Conditions: COVID-19 .

If you require any further clarification, please get in contact via email info@thrive-ots.co.uk Please be aware our business manager, directors and OT staff are working from home (when not seeing clients) and will answer email queries during working hours.

On behalf of Thrive we sincerely thank you for your support and patience as we navigate this ever-changing guidance.

Many thanks

Alison, Jennifer, and the Thrive Team
