Improving Attention and Learning Potential for Children with ASD – A day course for teachers, support assistants, SENCos and parents.


This course provides a wide range of practical ideas and strategies to support and improve learning outcomes, all based on insight into the unique learning style and challenges experienced by children with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorders), social communication disorders and associated difficulties.
The course is suitable for anyone working or living with a child with ASD or similar difficulties; whether new to the field or seeking to broaden their understanding and skills.

Ron Fortuna and Angela Capper from Target Autism have many years of experience, working directly with children across the entire range of the Autism Spectrum, across all academic phases and providing support and training for school staff and parents.

Thrive is an independent occupational therapy service aimed at facilitating positive health and wellbeing outcomes for children and families . Their therapists help children participate, perform and engage to their full potential in everyday activities, such as, learning, self care, social interaction and play. Thrive OT therapists have many years of experience working with children with ASD and are specialised in a range of approaches.

The cost of the day is £99 per delegate for professionals and a discounted rate of £49 for parents (please quote “parents/carers” to qualify for discount).
