Empowering Children, Supporting Families, Partnering with Schools

Welcome to the latest update from Thrive Occupational Therapy Services — a Children and Young People’s Occupational Therapy service focused on supporting children and young people to participate fully in everyday life. Whether you’re a parent, educator, or professional, we’re here to provide expert, compassionate support that makes a meaningful difference.

Supporting Children Through SEND Reform

As changes continue across the SEND system, including those outlined in the SEND White Paper, there is a growing emphasis on early intervention, inclusive practice, consistency, and outcomes that reflect children’s lived experiences.
At Thrive OT Services, these principles sit at the heart of our work. We remain committed to empowering children, supporting families, and partnering with schools and local authorities to ensure support is timely, joined‑up, and centred on meaningful participation.

Assessment Waiting Times: A Clear Commitment to Timely Support

We understand that waiting for support can feel stressful. That’s why we’re clear about our commitment to timely access.

We aim to begin the assessment process within six weeks of receiving confirmation, allowing for term‑time working.

This helps families and schools plan with confidence, knowing that support is moving forward without unnecessary delays.
